The Level 3 qualification, which leads to CIPD foundation-membership, includes four core-units designed to provide a solid grounding in the 'people profession'. The primary purpose of this qualification is to develop learners’ knowledge and skills to build their expertise in an human resource, or learning and development role, inspiring them to undertake tactical tasks that deliver value.
Learners will build their confidence and knowledge - aimed at being able to contribute to immediate colleagues, customers and the organisation; supporting change and driving impact, to create immediate, and short-term, value. They will gather information to use in their role and use this to understand their work, organisation and profession more deeply. This can then be applied to the world of work as well as being used as a vehicle to start their journey to CIPD membership at the appropriate level to complement career and professional development.

  What You Will Learn

The CIPD Level 3 Certificate in People Practice is the new foundation-level HR qualification. You will gain valuable and practical insights into key areas in 'people-practice', including core behaviours for people-professionals, and essentials in the field, including employee-relations. You will also gain an understanding of the key aspects of change and culture in a business context, as well as the principles of analytics. In short — everything you need to start off, or revitalise, your career in 'people-practice'.

  Entry Requirements

The CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate is designed for learners aged 18+ who want to learn about 'people practice'. Although there are no formal entry requiremets, an initial diagnostics to ensure that this qualification is appropriate for the learner will be carried-out. This will include making sure that learners can meet the requirements of the learning outcomes and can access the appropriate literacy and numeracy needed to complete this qualification.

  Assessment

Four summative assessments: assessment for this qualification is employer-driven, and aimed at real scenarios that learners may encounter in their future career.

  Progression

Successful achievement of this qualification will allow progression onto the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management or the CIPD Level 5 Associate Diploma in Organisational Learning and Development.
Employment opportunities on successful completion include HR, and learning and development adminstrator, assistant, and officer roles.

The objective of the qualification is to benefit learners through developing their health and safety awareness. Learners will have the opportunity to build an understanding of health and safety in the workplace and the role that everyone plays in maintaining a safe working environment. This regulated and nationally recognised qualification provides learners with the opportunity to develop their awareness of health and safety, including the role that everyone plays in maintaining a safe working environment. This qualification forms part of the QA Health and Safety suite of qualifications.
