The focus is on developing your knowledge application, experimental, research and practical engineering techniques. Whilst preparing you to professionally present your findings and demonstrate these essential skills. You’ll be using industry-standard technology as you work on exciting practical projects, studying a diverse range of engineering areas such as fabrication and welding, machining, electrical, maintenance, manufacturing. You will cover content including pneumatics and hydraulics, welding techniques, manufacturing processes, electrical systems (industry motors and drives), PLCs, steam and refrigeration systems, it’s the perfect start to a career in engineering.
Engineering at level 3 comes with a considerable academic content preparing you for a potential future at a University; as well as the expected maths and science there will be units covering project management, design, engineering drawing, business and quality systems; arming you with an academic background to take on any challenge.

This course is offered at both Cornwall College St Austell and Cornall College Camborne.
Our Camborne workshop features industry-standard equipment and kit. We have strong links with Pendennis and A&P ship yards and train all their apprentices and also PALL and SERCO for aero, so employers know an engineering qualification from The Cornwall College Group means you will start off in your career with the very best skills for an incredible journey in engineering.
