Plumbing Studies Diploma

This Level 2 one-year course will ensure you are fully knowledgeable in all plumbing and heating systems. To become a fully qualified plumber, most people start here. We offer both full-time study and apprenticeship options for you to train to be a professional plumber. If choosing the full-time route you must complete the Level 2 and 3 qualifications, which will take two years. We also offer a Level 1 introductory year if you do not have the required grades to start at Level 2. Often called upon in an emergency, if you can fix a leaking pipe, mend a broken toilet, or repair a central heating system, you will be hailed a hero. An experienced plumber should have the ability to work in a variety of different environments and during your time with us we will teach you the practical, hands-on skills and industry legislation to enable you to do this, either as an employee or running your own business.

You may also undertake a refresher course or introductory training prior to assessment if needed in our state-of-the-art training facilities at Cornwall College Camborne. Training is not a prerequisite to assessment, you may just book onto an assessment and certification programme.

This course could change your life it’s an active well paid job your after and you want to travel the world. The course will enable you to take your carpentry skills far beyond the usual DIY level and give you an understanding of general building construction along with the part a carpenter plays in the construction of al sorts of buildings. The course will enable you to work confidently in a construction related work place. All of our training takes place in a construction related environment and with carpentry you’ll be working on your own timber frame house either in our large workshops or outside to add a bit more site realism to the course. We have a large range to tools and equipment for you to practice with, you’ll also have access during the course to our wood machine shop to experience the machines we have. Your teaching will be delivered by highly experienced qualified trades people who have many years’ experience of working in the construction industry.
