Paediatric First Aid FAA Award Level 3 (2 Day)

This two day course will provide you with a sound introduction into paediatric first aid. It will be particularly beneficial to you if you are responsible for children and infants in your workplace in a role such as teachers, child minders, crèche assistants and playgroup personnel.

This two day course satisfied the guidelines and criteria as stated by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and OFSTED.
A range of subjects are covered including:
- Responsibilities and reporting
- Head injuries
- Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
- Foreign bodies
- Control of bleeding and shock
- Heat and cold
- Sickle cell anaemia
- Assessment of the situation
- Infantile convulsions
- Eye injuries
You will receive ongoing assessment by an instructor in terms of your practical ability, along with a multiple choice question paper to answer in respect of your knowledge. Upon successful completion of the course you will receive a three year qualification.
