ILM Level 3 Award in Effective Coaching
This course offers a great introduction to coaching and provides excellent skills for both new and existing coaches. The course will develop your own skills and effective use of coaching as part of your day-to-day role. You will need to have access to complete at least 6 hours individual coaching in your workplace.
The course will:
- provide an understanding of the: skills, principles and practice of effective coaching and mentoring within an organisational context;
- give you the opportunity to practice these skills;
- review your own ability as a coach;
- provide an ideal opportunity for your own leadership development;
- assist you in planning ongoing development for your team;
- enable you to consider where coaching can be used throughout your organisation;
- help you provide effective support for the development of others and improvement of their performance.
Duration: 5 days plus individual coaching supervision and tutorials

ILM Level 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and Mentoring
This course is ideal for leaders with responsibility for coaching and mentoring as part of their day-to-day role working with employees, colleagues and those who wish to develop these skills to use more effectively with their teams. You will need to have access to complete at least 18 hours coaching and mentoring in your workplace.
This course will:
- broaden your understanding of the impacts of coaching and mentoring in a leadership role;
- enable you to assess your own skills, behaviours and knowledge as a coach, mentor and leader;
- provide opportunities for your own leadership development;
- assist you in planning your ongoing development for your teams;
- ensure that you are fully equipped with the skills, knowledge and ethical understanding needed to coach and mentor within your leadership role;
- enable you to develop a coaching and mentoring culture in your organisation;
- help you to provide effective support for the development of others and improve their performance.
Duration: 6 days plus individual coaching supervision and tutorials

- fully taught programme (Level 3 – 5 group days and Level 5 – 6 group days);

- peer coaching and practical development sessions;
- coaching supervision/observed coaching;

- telephone and email access to your Coach/Mentor throughout the duration of the course.
